I was just wondering if anyone else has been seeing black widows under their hives. We are using wooden hive stands with 4 legs so there are some spaces where we usually see a lot of spider web buildup. When installing some sticky boards last week we found 2 black widows tucked under each of our two hives. We have a lot of them on our property (in the garage, in crevices outdoors, etc.) so this is not surprising but I had never heard of that in the litany of "hive pests". We saw one of them wrapping a fallen bee up in her web but I am mainly worried that we would accidentally bump into one while working the hive.
