Dang, with this warm weather my bees are starting to fly. One hive has maybe 50 flying around, a second hive has 1 dozen or so and the third hive has just 3-4 sluggishly flying around and hanging around the entrance. I plan on cracking into the hives for a peek next weekend when the weather is even warmer (supposed to be 56-57 degrees Jan 31-Feb 2) and checking on stores. I made some sugar patties and a couple of sugar frames yesterday so I'm ready to supplement next week if needed, plus I have a couple of frames of honey that I pulled aside and saved for spring feeding, just thought this wouldn't be a concern for another month or so. Anybody else seeing flying bees?
