Keys for Successful Beekeeping: Varroa and Nutrition Management

Join us for a special presentation by Dr. Ramesh Sagili, Professor of Apiculture in the Department of Horticulture at Oregon State University.

Dr. Sagili will discuss two of the most critical factors in colony health: Varroa mite control and honey bee nutrition. He will also share insights from recent research projects that illuminate best practices for managing these challenges in today’s apiaries.

Whether you're a beginner looking to understand the basics or an experienced beekeeper seeking the latest science-backed strategies, this session will be packed with actionable information to help improve your colony survival and productivity.

Dr. Ramesh Sagili is a nationally recognized apiculture researcher whose work focuses on honey bee health, including nutrition, disease dynamics, and pesticide impacts. He leads Oregon State University’s Honey Bee Lab and is a contributor to several key publications from the Honey Bee Health Coalition.
