Thank you!  Where can I find the winter loss survey?

    Hello Lynda,

There are quite a few methods used successfully in Central Oregon.  Personally, I don't do much.  I ensure they are full of food, mites are low, dipped slightly forward, put a small wedge (1/8 inch or so) under the back of the outer cover and provide a bit of wind break.  Works well for me.  You might check the results of the winter loss survey from last year in which they showed what losses were achieved by folks who do various winter preparations.

Once again I am here looking for advice.  What do local beekeepers do to prepare their hives for winter?  Black tar paper wrap?  Dry wood chips in the roof?  Latex foil bubble wrap cover?  Please let me know what you do, when you do it, and what works and what doesn’t.  Yet again, thank you.
