I am acting in behalf of a veteran beekeeper who has recently suffered some physical setbacks that will prevent him from keeping his bees this year. He is one of the very best beekeepers I know of in Central Oregon. He has seven 10 frame medium colonies that he would like to find a home for.  One is free if someone is willing to do a little cleanup at the outyard where it is placed. The other six are being offered for $100 each. The equipment is in good condition and the colonies went into winter in great shape with new queens. This is a great deal for anyone who would like to expand their apiary with additional colonies. You won't be sorry I can assure you.  If I was a Langstroth guy I would have jumped on one or more of them.

It would be important in the next few weeks for the bees to receive their final OA treatment before transferring them to your apiary. The beekeeper would be happy to help with that.

If you are interested please contact me and I will provide contact information for the beekeeper.

Clyde, I want to thank you for your posting this.  Its been a wonderful help.  So just to update, I have one colony left to sell.  This one has a lot of equipment with it but will be a bit more challenging to get.  The hive is easily accessed but is 6 medium boxes tall.  (Demaree Method last year) There are a lot of bees and they are in the top 3 boxes.  Anyone interested will want to remove the top three boxes and set them on a seperate bottom board to haul them home so the broodnest does not get split.  You still get all the equipment and its only 100 bucks.
